Barry Eldred

BGM Heating and Plumbing is proudly owned and operated by Barry Eldred, a recognised expert in the heating and plumbing industry. Barry began as an apprentice with British Gas, honing his skills for three years before spending another eight years as a Gas Service Engineer. In 2004, he used his extensive experience and passion to establish BGM Heating and Plumbing, which is committed to providing exceptional service.

Nick Moss

Nick Moss has been an integral part of the team since 2013, bringing his experience in LPG gas systems and appliance installation on boats. His dedication has earned him full qualifications in all areas of domestic gas heating and plumbing, including unvented hot water systems. Recently, Nick has expanded his expertise to include low-temperature heating, hot water systems, and air-source heat pump installations. Customers consistently praise Nick for his excellent service and professionalism.

Ben Crittenden

Ben Crittenden has been an essential team member since joining as an Apprentice in 2015. His dedication and excellent performance led to his NVQ Level Three Gas Qualification and registration as a Gas Safe Registered Engineer in October 2021. With broad hands-on plumbing experience, Ben now covers our gas boiler servicing, repairs, and installations. He has also enhanced his skills in low-temperature heating, hot-water systems, and air-source heat pumps, demonstrating his dedication to staying at the forefront of the industry. Ben consistently receives outstanding customer feedback.

Gary Crittenden

Gary Crittenden joined the team at BGM in 2021, bringing over 40 years of experience from British Gas. He is a highly skilled Gas Engineer, specialising in boiler service, repairs, and installation. Gary also mentors younger engineers and apprentices, sharing his knowledge and guiding their careers. His excellent customer relations skills make him a valued team member, especially when dealing with vulnerable customers.

Oliver Chadwick

Oliver Chadwick joined BGM in 2022 with experience in general plumbing and bathroom installations. He has achieved qualifications in plumbing and unvented hot water systems and is working towards an NVQ Level Three Gas qualification. Oliver is committed to professional growth and makes valuable contributions to the team. Oliver is working independently as well as alongside our experienced gas engineers, and we look forward to him expanding his role in the company once he has completed his training and is listed with the Gas Safe Register.

Levi Harrad

Levi Harrad started work with us in 2023 after completing his West Berkshire Training Consortium qualifications. His previous experience with us showed his strong skills and work ethic, leading to a unanimous decision to bring him on board. Since joining the team, Levi has been working toward his plumbing qualifications. He is on track to advance to the NVQ Level Three Gas qualification, working alongside our fully qualified engineers.

We welcome young people seeking work experience and strive to provide valuable skills and knowledge to support their future careers.
